Evaluation of the ‘Families Together’ Service in Wales
Funded by the Welsh Government, a major UK charity, Family Action, has established an innovative multi-disciplinary service designed to provide targeted preventative support to families experiencing:
- Domestic abuse
- Perinatal mental health issues
- A combination of family issues or ‘ACEs’ (adverse childhood experiences)
The service aims to address and prevent these issues from escalating to the point of the family requiring a social care intervention.
IPC has been asked to evaluate the service, including in particular to explore the extent to which the service works, for whom, in what circumstances, and why.
The evaluation is now underway and will report in Summer 2018.
