IPC advises on new guide for carers supporting people with Motor Neurone Disease

report front cover

A new guide has been produced for carers looking after people with motor neurone disease in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  'Caring and MND: support for you' was prepared by the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) with IPC Principal Consultant Dr Usha Boolaky offering professional mentoring support on the content.

It offers guidance on practical support, emotional and personal support and details about where carers can seek further help.  The guide will be a highly useful resource for unpaid carers as well as a range of professionals looking to support them in their caring role. It offers a range of useful tools to help people think through what support they might need, as well as providing contact information for useful organisations.

You can find the guide on the MND website.
