Åsa Johnsson Humphries
Åsa is a social work professional who has occupied a variety of social care roles in both local and central government. She has significant senior management experience in children’s services with a strong track record of staff development and service transformation.
A registered social worker, Åsa graduated in social work from Örebro University in Sweden and gained an MSc in Public Sector Management from Aston University Business School. She joined IPC as a principal consultant in 2010, and has contributed to regional developments and national programmes.
Her particular focus has been on performance management, strategy and commissioning. Through her work, she has developed a wealth of knowledge and skills in undertaking service reviews and transformation projects, and she has a firm commitment to improving outcomes for service users and their families. Åsa is a qualified coach and brings expertise in staff development though mentoring, coaching, action learning and teaching. She is the module lead for our postgraduate Team Manager Development Programme for Wales.
