Andrew is associate director of IPC and an Emeritus Professor of the University. Andrew has a national reputation for his work concerning the care of older people and the impact of the market on public care. He has published on a wide range of topics concerning children and adult services.
His original work was with young offenders and looked after children. He joined Bath University in 1977 and founded the Institute in 1987, which became part of Oxford Brookes University in 2000. In recent years he has worked on major national projects with the Department of Health, the Department for Education, Skills for Care and CQC as well as a large range of private and voluntary organisations and local government.
