Commissioning Support Programme (CSP)

IPC is a delivery partner of CSP

The Commissioning Support Programme (CSP) provides improvement support across children's services and local government through better commissioning, productivity, system and service design.

Commissioning services for young people

CSP is developing training materials to help commissioners implement Positive for Youth. Training materials for commissioners of services for young people will be made available through the LGA knowledge hub. As well as the training materials, a free train-the-trainer programme is available to local authorities and partner organisations to equip local trainers with the skills and knowledge to be able to deliver commissioning skills training for their local commissioners. Click here for more information about the train-the-trainer programme and click here to download a booking form.

Support to local authorities

CSP has won the Children's Improvement Board tender to provide support to local authorities and progress the understanding and coordination of commissioning and productivity work from January through to April 2012. Click here to download more information about this work.

We continue to deliver Commissioning Skills Training programmes, and our A-Z of Commissioning training materials have now been developed as an eLearning package hosted by the National School of Government.
