SHOP taster days

We offer a series of one day ‘taster’ events for local authorities and providers designed to take forward the SHOP agenda. These events can be tailored to meet your specific requirements:

What’s in the SHOP? - Presenting “Strategic Housing for Older People” in your authority

An introductory day with the SHOP authors planning how to take forward your thinking about housing for older people locally and your current perspectives and issues. This event is for planners, elected members, social care and housing managers, Registered Social Landlords and other providers.

The Marketplace – Developing Market Position Statements and Accommodation Strategies

This session will describe the process and content of how to review and develop your local market in older people’s housing and look at how housing can be stimulated across the sector. This event is for commissioning managers, housing leads and planners in local authorities.

The SHOP Refit - Reviewing your sheltered housing

How do you ensure you understand not only what sheltered housing you have available locally and how it is currently meeting the needs of older people but what opportunities it provides as part of the wide spectrum of community based services locally? This event is for commissioning managers and providers (both local authority and RSLs).

Designer Shopping - Understanding what good design looks like in housing and neighbourhoods suitable for older people

How can you ensure buildings and neighbourhoods meet the needs of older people into the future through the use of affordable, good design? This event is for commissioning managers, providers and developers.

Each taster event is priced at £750, exclusive of VAT
