Partnerships and learning networks

As a university organisation we are committed to sharing learning. The IPC Partnership and Network programmes help local authorities and other organisations benefit from our support over the longer term, and learn from each other, to help deliver improvements in public care.

IPC Partnership

IPC Partners get intensive support from dedicated, experienced consultants with specialist knowledge in public care. We will work closely alongside you to address complex redesign and change agendas over a period of several years. The benefits of membership include:

  • Dedicated support from senior IPC staff
  • 4 free places at our twice yearly IPC Partnership conference and places at our workshops to share information and develop best practice 
  • Research and publications on practical approaches and tools developed by IPC
  • A 15% discount on the cost of our short courses
  • An intensive programme of support for your organisation: you will receive bespoke consultancy support at a greatly reduced day rate. Examples of support programmes with our current Partners include:
    • A review and redesign of an ‘urgent, short-term, reablement and rehabilitation’ pathway through engaging with professionals and stakeholders across health and social care in a London borough
    • A programme of support for children’s services managers in Wokingham, including facilitation of the multi-agency partnership, provision of interim management, and an in-house skills development programme for middle managers
    • Work with the three local authorities and Health Board in Western Bay to deliver the regional implementation plan for the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act
    • Work with an Adult Social Care Directorate to develop their vision statement and business planning arrangements at a time of significant changes in national policy and guidance, financial challenges, structural changes and the move towards new operational delivery models and partnerships

IPC Network

We facilitate a network of local authorities, regions and health boards across Wales. The benefits of membership include:

  • A free place at an IPC Conference to share information with colleagues and develop best practice
  • A 10% discount on the cost of our short courses
  • A programme of bespoke consultancy support for your organisation at a reduced day rate. Examples of support programmes with our Members include:
    • Developing operational procedures that are compliant with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act for the Mid and West Wales region 
    • An independent review into the externalisation of home care in Powys and support to implement a revised commissioning strategy
    • Reviewing arrangements for both regional commissioning and workforce development in north Wales 
    • Work with Bridgend County Borough Council to develop a new care home procurement strategy
