Institute of Public Care Evaluation of the Adoption Support Fund (ASF)
The Department for Education (DfE) funds the Adoption Support Fund (ASF) to help adopted/eligible special guardianship children and their families access therapeutic support, which aims to improve their wellbeing.
The Institute of Public Care (IPC) at Oxford Brookes University has been commissioned by DfE to undertake an independent evaluation that will help build evidence about what support families need, how useful the Fund is and what difference, if any, it has made to families’ lives. The findings will inform future government policy in the area of adoption and permanence support.
Independent researchers from IPC will be asking parents to take part in the evaluation through the completion of questionnaires that follow their journey through and with the Fund.
