IPC offers several short four-day short courses covering key aspects of public care provision. We also provide the option of longer, broader development programmes for managers. Alternatively, we can work with you to design a bespoke training programme to suit the precise needs of your organisation.
Four-day short courses
We deliver short courses as either 'open courses' that individuals can book onto or we can deliver an in-house, bespoke course for your organisation. All of our short courses can be accredited by Oxford Brookes University. IPC Partners and Network members get a discount on the cost of our short courses.
Our popular commissioning course supports commissioners in public care organisations to implement the national agenda and develop good commissioning practice. We also deliver short courses for providers of care and support, and courses that focus on performance management, leading quality improvement and service redesign and change.
Our intensive year-long Team Manager Development Programme (TMDP) helps front-line managers to improve practice quality, manage their team effectively and handle change successfully.
Recently commissioned to provide leadership training for middle managers of social care in Wales, this new programme supports managers to respond to the requirements of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and begins in the autumn.
Senior Manager Development Programmes
Leading by Example is a national programme to support new directors in Wales through action learning and coaching. We also facilitate a programme for heads of service to develop their leadership skills through peer review.
