Supporting Better Commissioning for Children and Young People with Complex Needs in Wales
The National Commissioning Board in Wales has recruited IPC to help support better commissioning for children and young people with complex needs. IPC recently developed guidance and a toolkit for the Regional Partnership Boards on commissioning these services. To support the implementation of this guidance, every Regional Partnership Board in Wales is being offered an IPC-run workshop this summer to help them consider the guidance and how to assimilate best practice in commissioning in this sector, across the country.
Commented Director of IPC Keith Moultrie “The overall vision for this work is to provide a more consistent service across Wales. To achieve this, we are assisting the seven Regional Partnership Boards to develop an integrated approach to the commissioning of services for children and young people with complex needs. Each of these organisations faces different circumstances and challenges and the next step is to support them individually, in how best to use this new knowledge and toolkit, whilst employing a joined up approach.”
