Tammy leads for us on a wide range of national projects and publications in England and Wales, specialising in practice quality management, social work practice research and skills development. She has more than twenty-five years experience working within public care and is a qualified and registered social worker.

Tammy oversees and delivers our national teaching programme for front line managers in Wales - the Team Manager Development Programme (TMDP) - and has worked extensively with large public sector organisations to lead and support organisational transformation and cultural change.

Tammy has managed social work teams working with adults and older people in the community and acute sector. She has had considerable experience of direct care and therapeutic group work with older people. She has set up reminiscence initiatives and relatives/carers support groups in the community as well as in residential settings. More recently, Tammy has carried out the role of NHS Volunteer Responder as part of the Covid-19 response.

Tammy is a skilled facilitator and teacher, legal counsel adviser, researcher, author and project manager. Tammy is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
