To meet the requirements of the Care Act, local authorities need to provide an extensive range of information and advice, and the expectation is that this will be collated from both local and national sources. To assist with the collation of national sources, this document provides a list of some good generic sources of information and advice, for adults.
This directory was prepared for the South West Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS), as part of a wider project to support the implementation of the information and advice aspects of the Care Act and the Children and Families Act ‘Local offer’.
As part of the wider project, a toolkit for evaluating the effectiveness of information and advice provision and information toolkit were also developed.
