What works in engaging Pakistani and Army families in family support? A rapid research review

Report | December 2015

This rapid research review has been prepared to inform the DfE-funded Innovation Programme in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead but it is of interest more broadly to all local authority children`s services departments working with families from these communities.

The review includes:

  • A summary of the particular needs and characteristics of families in these two communities
  • What is currently known from research about the particular access and engagement issues for providers of family support services working with these communities?
  • What is already known about `what works` in promoting the engagement of families from these communities and the acceptance of support more broadly?
