Training and Development

Flexible Options

Training and developing your staff and sharing knowledge can lead to better outcomes and more consistent impact. We offer training and development options to suit your organisation. This ranges from short courses covering key aspects of health and social care provision to longer, tailormade development programmes for senior leaders as well as coaching.

Choose from our off-the shelf Commissioning Course or Care Purchasing and Brokerage or Team Manager Development Programme, or let us work with you to design a bespoke training opportunity to suit the needs of your organisation.

We are currently delivering all of our courses and workshops via online learning activities.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other people and learn about new approaches and theories to commissioning. I heard about practical examples, and how they have been applied across the county and worked through real local problems with other learners.

Liam Mawhinney

Liam Mawhinney, Children’s Business Change Commissioning Manager, Leicester City Council

I am very proud of the IPC tutors. They were friendly and committed to excellent teaching and supported me all the way through. They helped me achieve the major milestone of Senior Commissioner within a short timeframe.

Oludare Oludipe

Oludare Oludipe, Project Manager, South London Commissioning Programme (SLCP)

We work in an integrated commissioning structure with health partners and also across children’s and adults. We loved the ability to be able to flex and design the commissioning course to meet our local needs and focus on priorities for Plymouth, while drawing on what is happening elsewhere. The course was practical, with a healthy balance between the theory and the reality of commissioning services in our complex systems.
