Colin Green

Colin is an experienced former director of children’s services (DCS) and qualified social worker with a special interest in children’s social care and safeguarding. He has an excellent grasp of the broader children’s agenda.

Colin stepped down from the role as DCS in Coventry and joined IPC as an associate consultant in 2014. His experience in Coventry included leading the service through a series of major change programmes to establish a children’s service, raise the standards of practice and outcomes for children and young people, and address the need to make significant savings. At IPC, Colin has undertaken a review for a national children’s voluntary organisation of sexual abuse services, contributed to the IPC review of the children’s residential care market and undertaken a test of assurance of the Director of People arrangements for two local authorities.
