Dr Steph Lyons has significant experience of working within the health and social care sector in both adult’s and children’s services. Steph’s previous roles have encompassed front line delivery as an assistant youth support worker and as a Service Manager of a countywide homelessness prevention service. She has also worked at a strategic level as a Programme Manager, working with county and district councils as they went through the process of local government reorganisation and as a Strategic Commissioning Manager within adult social care, leading on the Promoting Independence workstream of the Directorate’s transformation programme.

Prior to joining IPC, Steph gained experience as a public sector consultant working with a range of stakeholders and organisations, including local and national government bodies, the NHS, charities, housing associations, care providers, carers and those with lived experience. Projects included supporting a family of charities in the West Midlands to design and develop their offer for care leavers. More recently within adult social care, Steph has worked alongside the commissioning team of a London Borough to review their approach to older people’s placements in long term care settings.
