Summary
The adoption support fund (ASF) provides funds to local authorities and regional adoption agencies (RAAs) to pay for essential therapeutic services for eligible adoptive and special guardianship order (SGO) families.
IPC’s evaluation of the ASF for DfE (2018-2022) is now concluded, with a suite of reports published here by DfE between 2020 and 2022, including:
- Findings from a baseline, first follow up and (final) second follow up survey of adoptive parents and special guardians
- Findings from qualitative interviews with a sample of those adoptive parents and special guardians
- Findings from a first and second wave of interviews and surveys with ASF providers, local authorities and regional adoption agencies
- A Review of the dedicated ASF Covid-19 Fund during the period of the Pandemic
