Involvement of children and young people in commissioning

Literature review | January 2019

This literature review was undertaken for TUSLA by the Institute of Public Care and focuses on examples of children and young people participating in the commissioning process (including procurement), to identify examples of how organisations can ensure appropriate engagement of children and young people at all stages, so that they get their voices heard in the commissioning process.

This report summarises what is known so far from Ireland, the UK, and wider international research and existing practice relating to the involvement of children and young people in both decision-making and in wider commissioning activity.
