Strategic Housing for Older People

To coincide with the Government's Housing Strategy and a 'deal for older people's housing', the Strategic Housing for Older People (SHOP) Resource Pack offers a sector-led approach to meeting the housing demand and supply challenges for an increasingly ageing population.

Written by IPC, published by the Housing Learning and Improvement Network and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, SHOP provides a framework and accompanying tools for councils, public and private sector developers and providers to develop their strategic market position and take the initiative in designing and building homes that older people want.

Laid out in three sections, the SHOP Resource Pack is intended to influence local strategic commissioning, planning and investment decisions, and give you the confidence to help transform and improve the range of housing choices for older people in your communities over the next 20 years.
