NEWS FLASH - Speakers announced.

For the past 20 years, the Institute of Public Care (IPC) at Oxford Brookes University has delivered an accredited commissioning course, supporting over 2,000 colleagues across health and social care to implement excellent commissioning practice across the UK. To mark our 20-year anniversary, you are invited to celebrate with us at our inaugural Alumni Commissioning Conference for current and ex-students of the course.

The Conference will:

  • provide an opportunity to hear a number of talks and presentations on current innovative and/or evidence-based commissioning practice across the UK
  • bring together commissioners from across England and Wales to share good practice and ideas, and make connections.

We are excited to let you know the following event topics and presentations are confirmed:

  • Working to improve the recruitment and retention of care workers
  • How can brokers affect the children’s placement market - Commissioning Alliance
  • Supporting people home from hospital - Discharge to Assess

We’ll also host a Q&A panel with panel members representing children’s and adult services and public health and care providers. The focus will be on, ‘Where do we see commissioning going in the next 20 years?’

The Conference was hosted in person at Conference Aston Hotel, Birmingham (subject to national COVID 19 guidance at the time). Confirmation of guest speakers and a full agenda will be sent to all attendees in advance of the event.
