Commissioning Course
Course information
Our popular commissioning course supports commissioners in health and social care organisations to implement the national agenda and develop good commissioning practice. It will enable you to understand the commissioning process and commission value-for-money services.
We are delivering this short course as either 8 half day sessions online or 4 full day face to face sessions. Either way you will get the same, good quality group learning experience from the same tutors at the same price of £850 per person. Download more information about the Commissioning Course.

You can choose to accredit your learning from this short course and gain a certificate of credit from Oxford Brookes University – worth 20 CATS credits at postgraduate level – to help with your Continuing Professional Development (CPD). To do this you will need to attend additional support sessions and complete an assessed work-based project. There is an additional fee of £540 per person for accreditation. IPC Commissioning Alumni Conference Birmingham
Everyone had a brilliant day at IPC’s inaugural Commissioning Alumni Conference, hosted on Monday 28th November 2022 at Conference Aston in Birmingham.
The conference, which celebrated 20 years of the IPC Commissioning Course, was attended by 70 commissioning colleagues from across the country. We explored how the roles of commissioners have changed over the years, the current pressures and opportunities, and how commissioning may change in the next 20 years.
We would like to thank all the fantastic speakers that contributed to the success of this event.
