The Care Purchasing and Brokerage Programme, developed by IPC and the Commissioning Alliance, is a dynamic short course designed for social care professionals involved in care placement, brokerage, or purchasing within adult and children’s services. This course aims to equip you with the latest knowledge on national agendas, statutory duties, and regulatory frameworks.
Delivered as four half-day online sessions, the course features a blend of presentations and practical activities, allowing you to gain essential skills and effectively implement best practices in care placements. The course costs £500 per person (or £400 for Commissioning Alliance members).
For those looking to gain formal recognition for their learning, the programme offers an optional accredited award from Oxford Brookes University, worth 10 CATS credits at undergraduate level. To achieve this, you’ll need to attend additional support sessions and complete a work-based assessment, with an extra fee of £300 per person. Earning this accredited award not only boosts your professional credentials but also significantly contributes to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD), giving you a competitive edge in your career.
