We’re Hiring: Assistant Consultant
The Institute of Public Care is growing, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Consultant to join our team.
The Role
You’ll support our applied research and consultancy projects across health, social care, children’s services and supported housing. Your work will include:
- Coordinating project activities and timelines
- Researching good practice and evidence
- Designing and administering online surveys
- Analysing and interpreting data
- Contributing to reports and recommendations
- Supporting our consultants to deliver high-quality work
The projects we deliver are diverse and interesting. One week you might be supporting an evaluation of a local authority’s transformation programme, the next you’re helping to research best practice in mental health commissioning. You’ll work on several projects at once, developing a broad understanding of the public care sector.
What We’re Looking For
We’re particularly interested in candidates who can design and develop online surveys and/or conduct rapid evidence reviews. Knowledge of the UK public care sector (health, adult social care, children’s services, supported housing) is advantageous but not essential – we value curiosity and enthusiasm.
You’ll need to be:
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Analytical with strong attention to detail
- An excellent communicator (written and verbal)
- A collaborative team player
- Eager to learn and develop your skills
