We are delighted to launch the first non-clinical programme for line managers within mental health services in England, following the success of our leadership and management course in Wales.
Underpinned by the principles of compassionate leadership and grounded in the lived experience of those who draw on mental health services, the programme focusses on effectively managing teams and working with key system partners. It’s about the things that matter to people and what’s needed to make change happen.
IPC expertise
The leadership and management programme is designed specifically for first-line managers or aspiring managers working in mental health settings to facilitate their development as leaders. The learning is relevant and applicable across both adults’ and children’s services. Our experience in Wales shows that investing in managers leads to the development and improved retention of staff at all levels.
We focus on leadership, resilience and delivering change in mental health services evidence-informed practice, key policy drivers, coproduction with citizens and staff, and enhancing team and individual performance in changing times.
World Mental Health Day
IPC is delighted to launch this course in advance of World Mental Health Day on 10th October. We want to make sure that managers have the right skills and knowledge to nurture a culture of excellent and effective delivery within their teams and support individual and team resilience.
