Make a difference in social care

Are you a leader from the global majority within social care? Are you keen to support the progression of others? If so, IPC would love to hear from you to discuss how you could support us in offering shadowing opportunities for people working within social care in Wales, to support their career progression.

IPC is delighted to be working with Social Care Wales to support the progression of people from the global majority, including those from gypsy, Roma, and traveller groups, working within social care in its widest sense. We are particularly interested in how our participants might be supported, for example, to observe strategic meetings with partners, experience interactions with commissioners, and other opportunities that support the advancement of careers within social care in Wales. Not all opportunities would need to be in Wales and many could be virtual.

If you could offer one or two shadowing opportunities over the next 12 months (virtual or face-to-face) for those from the global majority to support their career progression, we invite you to make contact with Dr Caroline Dowson, carolinedowson@brookes.ac.uk.
