Five years ago, the London Borough of Bexley (LBB) took the innovative step to delegate a large element of its statutory Care Act duties for assessment and review to a voluntary sector consortium of eight ‘Trusted Partner’ organisations, known as ‘One Bexley’.
The model uses trained Trusted Assessors (TAs) to develop personalised and strengths-based approaches for Bexley residents, maximising the skills, resources and networks of the local voluntary and community sector (VCSE).
Together the partnership offers:
One Bexley Pathways (OBP) commissioned the IPC to undertake a focused and rapid independent evaluation of the model to-date and this webinar will explore the findings of this as well as sharing information about the model and the journey to get there from a range of perspectives.
Guest speakers will include a representative from the London Borough of Bexley and colleagues from the One Bexley consortium.
The webinar will also provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions of the panel. As such we are suggesting that this webinar may be of interest to colleagues working within the voluntary and community sector, those working within a local authority in adult social care and with an interest in commissioning, transformation and innovation.
