There is a growing recognition that voices from an increasingly diverse population should be reflected in local policies and decision making. Community research is about working meaningfully with communities to identify their needs and design services and programmes that work in local contexts. This webinar explores the very practical opportunities and challenges which Oxfordshire County Council experienced when it established a Community Research Network to address health inequalities in the county. We are very pleased that three expert guests are available to share their experiences:
IPC Consultant Dr Agnes Turnpenny will summarise the learning we uncovered when asked to evaluate the network.
Designed for those involved in commissioning and designing health, social care and public health interventions in local authorities or the NHS, the session will be an opportunity to hear about the practical experience of setting up a community research network, and to reflect on successes and next steps within your own work.
