Example market position statement for people with autism

This is an example version of a market position statement which addresses services for people high functioning autism and Asperger's Syndrome in a generic local authority area.

The Department of Health funded a programme developed by IPC to offer support to local authorities to develop their local markets, including preparing market position statements. The programme, Developing Care Markets for Quality and Choice (DCMQC), was supported by ADASS and a range of provider organisations as part of the implementation of the White Paper 'Caring for our future: reforming care and support'.

As part of the programme, IPC developed a series of guides designed to assist local authorities with their market development work.
