I’m delighted to let you know that IPC has reached a tremendous milestone. This summer we are celebrating 35 years of operational excellence. As an organisation we have strived to innovate and have always been driven by the challenges practitioners face.
In the early years we were aligned with the University of Bath and since 1999 we have been part of Oxford Brookes University. We have found a ‘home’ in Brookes, where promoting knowledge exchange and providing academic rigour and accreditation is built in. We are unique as we are the only commercial facing institute within the University that straddles consultancy, applied research and training.
Just a few of our many notable achievements over the last 35 years include:
- 20 years of delivering commissioning courses to more than 2,000 alumni
- We are an accredited evaluation partner for the Department for Education Innovation and Partners in Practice Programme
- We trained practitioners across Wales on the implications of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act
- We produce the POPPI and PANSI information systems that project the future numbers, characteristics and care needs of vulnerable people in England
- Sage published our book Commissioning for Health and Social Care
- We set up an academic partnership programme dedicated to sharing and facilitating learning across the sector
- We supported smaller adult social care providers to use technology safely during the response to the pandemic
There is so much more I could mention. We’re looking forward to future years and plan to take this time to reflect on how far we’ve come and what we’ve achieved.
We have a tremendous team, and we’ve forged long lasting relationships with some great clients. So, we’d like to thank you for your continued support and look forward to working with you in the future.
