New Postgraduate Certificate in Leading and Managing Mental Health Services

IPC is delighted to have completed the first programme of the new all Wales Postgraduate Certificate in Leading and Managing Mental Health Services. There are five further cohorts running concurrently on a regional basis across Wales.

Core content includes application of key leadership theories as they relate to managing mental health services in Wales; using evidence-based approaches to manage the quality of mental health services, and leading and managing transformation and change in mental health services. IPC is also pleased to be working closely with Social Care Wales (SCW) and Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) to ensure input from the NHS Mental Health Executive members, and grounding the programme in the lived experience of those who draw on mental health services.

Participants have spoken very favourably of the opportunity to have their enthusiasm for leadership reignited, the excellent networking opportunities and the focus on patient care.

‘I’ve become a more thoughtful and informed manager as a result of this course.’  (Cohort 1, South Wales)
