IPC is working with Social Care Wales to revise guidance for social care practitioners

Social Care Wales is updating its Codes of Professional Practice for social care workers and employers to make sure they’re as clear and easy to use as possible.

IPC has been commissioned by Social Care Wales to improve and update the practice guidance associated with the Codes.

Building on feedback that’s already been shared, we want to make sure the new practice guidance is meaningful and useful for everyday practice. This means we want it to be clearly-written, well-structured, easy to navigate and update, and in an accessible format.

To help us get this right, we’re organising a series of consultation events in May. These events will he held online and last two hours. They’re open to:

·       social care workers (care worker and care staff)

·       social workers

·       team managers

·       senior managers

·       anyone else who’s interested in this subject.

During the sessions you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the revised practice guidance. We’re keen to know what works best for you, and to know more about your experience of using existing practice guidance materials.

Find out more about the sessions and how to sign up here.

If you have questions about these events, please contact Lucy Asquith lasquith@brookes.ac.uk or Steph Lyons at slyons@brookes.ac.uk

Helpu Gofal Cymdeithasol Cymru i adolygu ei ganllawiau ymarfer ar gyfer y Codau Ymarfer Proffesiynol

Mae angen eich barn a’ch cyngor arnom ni.

Annwyl Gydweithwyr

Mae Gofal Cymdeithasol Cymru yn diweddaru ei Godau Ymarfer Proffesiynol ar gyfer gweithwyr gofal cymdeithasol a chyflogwyr i sicrhau eu bod mor glir a hawdd i’w defnyddio â phosibl.

Mae’r Sefydliad Gofal Cyhoeddus (IPC) ym Mhrifysgol Oxford Brookes wedi cael ei gomisiynu gan Gofal Cymdeithasol Cymru i wella a diweddaru’r canllawiau ymarfer sy’n gysylltiedig â’r Codau.

Gan adeiladu ar adborth sydd eisoes wedi’i rannu, rydyn ni’n awyddus i sicrhau bod y canllawiau ymarfer newydd yn ystyrlon ac yn fuddiol ar gyfer ymarfer bob dydd. Mae hyn yn golygu ein bod am iddyn nhw gael eu hysgrifennu’n glir, bod ganddynt strwythur da, eu bod yn hawdd i’w llywio a’u diweddaru, a’u bod mewn fformat hygyrch.

Er mwyn ein helpu i wneud hyn yn iawn, rydyn ni’n trefnu cyfres o ddigwyddiadau ymgynghori ym mis Mai. Bydd y digwyddiadau hyn yn cael eu cynnal ar-lein ac yn para dwy awr. Maen nhw’n agored i:

·            weithwyr gofal cymdeithasol (gweithwyr gofal a staff gofal)

·            gweithwyr cymdeithasol

·            rheolwyr tîm

·            uwch reolwyr

·            unrhyw un arall sydd â diddordeb yn y pwnc hwn.

Yn ystod y sesiynau, cewch gyfle i helpu i lunio’r canllawiau ymarfer diwygiedig. Rydyn ni’n awyddus i wybod beth sy’n gweithio orau i chi, ac i wybod mwy am eich profiad o ddefnyddio’r canllawiau ymarfer presennol.

Mae rhagor o wybodaeth am y sesiynau a sut i gofrestru yma.

Os oes gennych chi gwestiynau am y digwyddiadau, cysylltwch â Lucy Asquith lasquith@brookes.ac.uk neu Steph Lyons slyons@brookes.ac.uk yn IPC.
