Judith Ramsden

Associate Consultant

Judith is a qualified social worker and an experienced leader and manager. She is a former Director of People’s Services, having held the statutory roles of both DCS and DASS. Before becoming a DCS, she worked in London local authorities within statutory children’s services as well as being a strategic commissioning manager working across social care, schools and the health economy to improve outcomes.

Judith led a local authority children’s improvement programme, which resulted in a statutory notice to improve being lifted within one year of her appointment, and went on to lead embedded, sustainable improvements and a strong approach to leadership of front line practice. She chaired an Adoption Leadership Board on behalf of the regional ADCS, contributing to the development of the National Board’s strategy. Judith set up and established sub regional partnership fora to address the developments with partner agencies relating to MASH and to the SEND agenda. Judith was a key Director in the development of a shared adoption service and of a Regional Adoption Agency.

Judith became an Associate Consultant with IPC in 2018 and has worked on projects that have focussed on developing leadership skills, supporting managers and facilitating provider engagement to develop new ways of working.
