Ben teaches on both the IPC undergraduate and postgraduate commissioning certificate courses. He brings extensive experience in strategic commissioning across local government and the NHS, with a career spanning senior leadership roles since 2009. He has held key positions within several local authorities, including Kent County Council, Medway, Merton, Wokingham, Tower Hamlets, Central Bedfordshire, and Southend.
He has led large-scale transformation programmes across adult social care, including housing with care, day service modernisation, homecare transformation, and organisational preparation for Care Quality Commission (CQC) assurance.
Prior to becoming a commissioner, Ben was Strategic Partnerships Manager for a research institute at the University of Kent where he led and managed transitional partnership projects and action research initiatives across European countries.
