Amy Harmsworth

Senior Consultant

Prior to joining IPC in 2022, Amy was the Operational Manager for Commissioning in Adult Services at Cardiff Council. She supported the launch of new commissioning arrangements for Home Care and Care Homes within the Local Authority. Amy also worked for London local authorities within Public Health, leading on the redesign, contract management and performance monitoring of substance misuse services.

At IPC, Amy delivers consultancy projects such as independent reviews of adult social care services or operational arrangements, the completion of fair and transparent cost of care exercises for residential care homes, and the development of strategies, policies or commissioning documents such as Market Position Statements. Amy has a particular interest and passion for working co-productively with people with lived experience of care and support and has developed co-production guides and strategies for IPC.

Amy also leads on our Postgraduate Commissioning Course and is regularly involved in the facilitation and delivery of training programmes and workshops.
