Anti-racism action plan (Wales): Implications for practice

Agenda:

IPC is pleased to host a free online webinar to share findings from research into the enablers and barriers to progression within social care for those from diverse minority ethnic groups. This webinar is conducted in partnership with the Staff College, as commissioned by Social Care Wales.

We will hear from IPC's Tutu Adebiyi Associate Consultant, Richard Timms Associate Consultant and Caroline Dowson Senior Consultant, about recent findings and early thoughts about what can be done to identify leadership potential within social care in those from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Come and contribute to the discussion. We will also build in time for smaller group discussions to consider implications for social work practice and allow you to reflect on your organisational culture and consider:

  • how far does it welcome those from diverse backgrounds,
  • and what can be done practically to spot and nurture leadership talent.

Date:

13th June 2024 10am-12pm

Workshop format:

The workshop will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams and will feature a blend of presentations and smaller group discussions to enable participation by all delegates

Booking:

Anyone working within social care in Wales or with an interest in anti-racist practice in Wales is warmly invited to join the webinar. We look forward to seeing you.
